Emilia Durka

Emilia Durka, born in 1992 in Warsaw, is a Polish artist best known for her oil paintings reflecting on human existence in solastalgia, a form of emotional or existential distress caused by environmental change.

Emilia's style draws from a unique combination of landscape architecture, fashion design, and urban landscapes. She finds inspiration in the works of Post-Impressionists, Expressionists, and Primitive Art. Her abbreviated figurative style and palette of colors are quite unique and extremely endearing.

Emilia graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts and Warsaw University of Life Science before spending time in Spain, earning degrees in Art at the Valencia  Escola d'Art and superior de Disseny and architecture at the Madrid Universidad Politéchnica.

She currently divides her time between Warsaw and New York. Her works appear in many private collections in Europe and the USA.
